OFFERING BY SRI SATHYA SAI INSTITUTE OF HIGHER LEARNING ALUMNI

Dr.S.S.S.Sai Superannuation

An inspiration forever…

Arjun Gopan,
M.Sc. Physics (2019-2021)

Thank you sir for all the guidance and support you provided us with. One of the things which comes running to my mind, whenever I hear the word PSN is your smile and enthusiasm. Thank you sir for your love and affection.

Prajal Chettri,
Masters in Physics (2017-2019)

Sairam sir,
The very first memory of mine with you were the extra classes you used to take for me because of my inefficiency in the basics of the subject you later took. In spite of you being busy with tons of other commitments being the Dean of Sciences, Convenor of the newly inaugurated CRIF and being a full-time teacher, you were kind enough to teach me the requisite basics which helped me not only to get away with dread I had for the subject but also to motivate me to later top the subject and subsequently the semester. Thank you sir for sharing with us all the small but very beautiful moments you shared with Swami enabling us to be with Swami through you. Thank you for everything!
Sairam.

Pendem Sai Vikranth Goud,
MSc physics (2019-2021)

Always welcomes with a smile on his face which makes us to forget all the worries and gives us confident on ourselves.

Ashok kumar. B,
BA 1988-91

Thank you for 40 years of teaching. Thank you for taking the time to listen, encourage, and share. You made a real difference in the lives of the students you taught. Congratulation and many warm wishes for a happy retirement!

Bala Pavan Kumar Yamanuri,
MSc Physics, 2004-2006

It would be natural to be intimidated to meet a person whose responsibilities include being the Warden of Senior boys hostel and a senior faculty of Physics Department. I too was (2004-2006), until disarmed by his ever smiling face. I had the opportunity to be his student during the MSc course and few traits of Sir shall always be remembered.
1) The older we grow, it becomes easier to realize that it is not an easy task to be Senior boys hostel warden. Being gentle and firm, to evoke love and respect by all the students is alone a great task.
2) Being a senior faculty of Physics department – the ever demanding and precise department – completing the syllabus and conducting lab, under pressure of dual responsibility is another feather.
3) Being warden means always answerable to Swami in person. Swami is a tough task master and to match His expectations is a fresh challenge every moment. There is no time to rest!
4) In spite of all this – to stay humble, to smile and to be the support system of countless students – is Swami’s choicest blessing.
Thanking Swami for giving us such exemplary teachers, I convey to Sir our Best wishes and Respects. Thank you Sir!

Anilal P,
M.Tech 2013-15

Dear Sir,
Time flies and everything feels like happened yesterday. Will not forget the 2 years of my life as a student under you. For all the love, care, support, just a ‘Thank you’ will not suffice. May Swami continue His actions through you!

Sainath Kanajam,
2000 – 2006

Most Favorite Person and Sweet Natured

Aditya Sarma Tangirala,
M.Tech OEC, 2014-16

Dear Siva Shankara Sai sir,
One of the most hardworking faculty whom I have seen in my life, more fortunately because he lived in same Hostel & was in same Department at college. Been very fortunate to interact on my academics, as Sir taught us in our department. His advice, corrections whenever I went wrong and specifically on meeting timelines & his commitment levels are exceptional. Across different schedule of day from Hostel or in University, got to observe & learn from Sir – how to handle tasks if associated with multiple departments, different roles whatsoever (with gracious smile). Always ready for boys, whatsoever it be.

Sandeep Patnaik,
1994-2016

Right from my primary school days, I have grown up watching Sir and have always relished and rejoiced at the bond Sir shared with Swami. I remember how Swami would love pulling his leg at times, make him chant Vedam and at times make Sir speak in the Kulwant hall.
As a student, he was our favorite warden and then during my research days, he became a loved HoD and by the time I obtained my degree he had become the Dean of Sciences and the Director of PSN campus. But he remained the same – humble, loving, and caring as ever. I remember how he keeps students’ welfare as the prime focus and ensures the best for them. I recall how he had to go out of the way to obtain BSR and INSPIRE fellowships for the research scholars of physics department. It was a herculean task given that there was no precedence in the university. But he convinced the administration and later many students from across departments were benefited from similar fellowships. Even as an HoD, I recall the picture of him sitting in the department, with his reading glasses reeling over his nose, burning the mid night oil and slogging like (more than any research scholar perhaps). Hardwork is his passion! I can’t believe that he is superannuating. He looks as young as ever! May Swami shower His choicest blessings. Dear Sir, Wish you a happy and healthy life! May you continue to inspire many more generations of Sai students into the Sai Path!

Sathyadeep Viswanathan,
MSc-Physics, 2000-2005

Most beloved sir,
I consider myself very fortunate to have had you as my warden and also to have been taught by you during my student years at Prashanthi Nilayam. Sir, a few memories come to my mind which I would love to share. Once, during my BSc days, I wanted to register a gadget (an electric kettle, if I remember correctly). The wattage was not mentioned on the gadget and you asked me to describe how I would determine the wattage in the physics lab. I think I managed to give you a satisfactory answer. This memory bring a smile to me: Once I was running late to the institute and ran into you at the ground-floor lobby. You in your usual manner, raised your hands and exclaimed a long, why why why..!!! This time, however, you happened to have a big book in one hand and all the pages flipped from one side to the other in unison with your exclamation. One morning, during my ll MSc days, you came for rounds on the C floor and woke me up for the jogging session. I complained to you that I had not slept well the previous night due to asthma. However you encouraged me saying, nothing will happen to you, you are young and took me downstairs and also jogged with me till about Shanthi Vedica. This incident would me most unforgettable for me. Sir, my prayers and wishes for you to have a long and healthy life and may you continue to serve in the Sai mission, like you has always been, for a long time to come.
Jai Sai Ram!

Harsha Theja Kopparthi,
M.Tech (OEC) 2013-15

Loving Sairam Sir,
Very first thing which we remember seeing you/thinking about is the following:
“Names are many! But, Form is one”
You were Warden sir for few, HOD sir for few, Dean sir for few, Director sir for few & the list continues…
We never use to understand that 24 hours in a day aren’t sufficient for us to just complete the task given by respective teacher & couple of activities at hostel. We always use to wonder seeing the way you use to handle the different activities associated with Hostel, Institute, Mandir. Your words motivated us a lot, Your deeds made us follow your path of service. Thank you sounds very small for all that you have given us. We would profusely thank swami for giving such a gem of a person to be our teacher, guide & many more. Sairam.

Prashant Raman,
MSc Physics 2004 batch

Sairam Sir,
I admire how you managed all the responsibilities you were entrusted with: hostel warden, Physics teacher, extra-curricular activities & Mandir programs, to name just a few. I wish you good health & Swami’s abundant blessings for the next phase of your life. Sairam.

VNS Bhaskar,
2002-07

After Swami. Best example who follows Swami’s principles. Good Wishes!

PSMS Sarma,
2016-2018 (MBA)

Sairam sir,
At the outset, heartfelt wishes and greetings to you on this momentous occasion. You are an inspiration to many and a chosen instrument of Swami in his divine mission. Personally, I always look up to you for your qualities like love for Swami, patience and maintaining healthy relationships with all. As Swami says, there is no retirement in his institution and may this occasion stand as another opportunity for you to guide younger generation in Swami’s service. Best wishes and Regards.

Gopala Krishna Mantha,
2003-2008, music college

Sir, wishing you good health and spiritual life

Sai Pramod P,
BSc, MSc Physics (2003-2008)

Dear Sir,
Whether it was teaching us the basics of Microprocessors or the difficult concepts of fiber optics or teaching us how to balance academics and self reliance and Cultural activities you always put in your best efforts so that we could do our best to please Swami in everything the students did. You will always be a role model for every student of the Physics dept; NO for the entire SSSIHL alumni who have had the fortune to experience your loving care in the Hostel and the institute. Wishing you a very happy “Re’TIRE’-ment and many wonderful decades ahead in the Service of Swami.

Biraj lama,
2010-2012

A gem among all the faculty members at SSSIHL and above all a good human being. Sir has been an example for everyone to follow, in his personal and professional life. It is a blessing for all the students who came in contact with sir during their study and stay at Prasanthi Nilayam.

M Sainath,
1985-90; 1990-1995 (PhD); 1995 – 2008 (Faculty)

Siva Shankara Sai Sir will remain in my heart forever as my teacher and then my colleague and then further as a dear elder brother. Even in the hostel, it was a great learning experience to be a fellow-teacher with him when he was the warden. Particularly touching was the love, care and concern which he showered on me when, in a moment of personal crisis in 2003, he went out of his way to make me feel wanted as I returned to the hostel. Having now seen so much of the world and interacted with some of the top professionals across domains, I can say for sure that he belongs to the rarest of the rare category. He would never hurt anyone and would always discharge his duties while also never forgetting that he was an elder brother to all of us. He epitomises Bhagawan’s saying “You cannot always oblige, but you can always speak obligingly.” May Swami bless you sir!

Deepachakravarthy,
MBA, 2010 to 2012

Sairam sir,
Our senior boys hostel life is incomplete without you. It was indeed a blessing to be part of Hostel life. The first thing comes to our mind is your smile which you carry around it gave us a joy talking to you. Be it early in the morning or mid night encounters you always carried joy with you. May Swami shower his choicest Blessing on you sir!

Sitaram Behera,
BSc, MSC (Chem), MBA 2005-12

Dear Sir,
I always wondered how you maintained the bond of love with each of us in the hostel across decades. You are an inspiration for the entire Student fraternity and have set a high standard for us to reach that stature of a true Swami’s student. Wish you all peace and health even after retirement. We are so proud of you as our dearest Warden. Sairam!
