Apply love to your heart, and you will see yourself

First of all, we have to realise divinity in humanity.  Human beings are unable to see even humanity within themselves. How then can they understand divinity?

If you want to understand divinity, firstly  you have to believe that everything is God. Once you develop that faith, you will realise the God within. Therefore, transformation of mind is important. Today man is changing, but mind is not. Man’s clothes are changing, but man’s character is not. Your character must change. Your mind must change. Once your mind changes, you become one, and you become one with God.

Therefore, first of all, you must discipline this mad mind. What is mind? Enquiring into it, we can call it conscience. When conscience gets close to Consciousness, you can be free from negative thoughts. But, man despite having conscience that can go close to consciousness, is striving merely to be conscious. This is going in the reverse direction. You are going backwards. You have to go forward. Then, you will see the truth.

No one has been able to recognise divinity as such and such. Why is it so? It is because of negative thoughts. Develop positive thoughts, and you will see Divinity as clearly as you can see the world in a mirror. That’s what Dakshinamoorthy said: you can see the whole universe in a piece of mirror.  Now, what’s the size of a mirror and what’s the size of the universe? Mirror is small, and yet, it reflects this vast universe.

How is that possible? Because you apply a chemical called mercury on one side of the glass. Once you do that, you can see yourself in it. If you don’t apply mercury, you won’t be able to see yourself. You will only see the objects on the other side.

Now, the heart is like a pure glass. You are looking at the heart. But, what you see there are the objects that are on the other side. You can see the births you have had, and the births you will have. But, what is the use of all that? You have already seen them all.

What you have to see is yourself. When you see yourself, you will see the divinity too. You are not your physical body, you are not your form. How can you see your real self? When you apply love, that is mercury, on your heart, that is a glass, it becomes a mirror and you can see your real self. That is self realisation.
