Narayan Seva Blanket Distribution

To commemorate Bhagawan’s 95th birthday celebrations, SSSIHL alumni students joined hands with the Sai Samiti in Kalimpong, a sub-divisional town in the hills of Darjeeling, West Bengal to distribute 95 kits consisting of warm clothes, dry ration and blankets to the needy on 22nd November 2020. The alumni had contributed 25 blankets.

Bhagawan’s Birthday Celebrations at Sri Sathya Sai Saraswati Vidya Mandir

Alumni students offered to spread joy on Bhagawan’s birthday celebrations at Sri Sathya Sai Saraswati Vidya Mandir, a free primary school run along Bhagawan’s guidelines, located in a village called Sangsay in Kalimpong district.

Twenty alumni students reached the venue on the eve of 21st November for preparations to organize a number of games and gifts for the students.

The function commenced at 9 a.m on 22nd of November, with the Vedam chanting and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. There were 26 children in the school ranging from Class 1 to 5. The activities started with Bhajan antakshari followed by indoor and outdoor games such as bowling, spoon race, treasure hunt, water-and-marbles game, musical chairs, crossword puzzles and dumb charades.

Then the senior most alumnus, brother Rabin Diyali shared the significance of being a Sai student and his lovely experiences with Bhagawan which helped relive the times in Prashanti Nilayam.

To end the day, the diya lamps which formed the numbers ‘nine’ and ‘five’ to mark the glorious 95 years of love were lit and a birthday cake to celebrate Bhagawan’s 95th birthday followed by the distribution of gifts to the children. The function culminated with mangal aarti to Bhagawan.

Blankets were distributed to the students for the oncoming winter by nine alumni on 29th November 2020.
